Framing- Virtual
We decided to frame the entire house in the computer to save ourselves on-the-clock headscratching time.

Floating corner
There is no way this will stay up. Marley, I built this exactly the way your drawings show it. I must have missed something because my intuition tells me this is not structuraly sound.

Beam thing?
Hey marley, Your construction drawings shows a DBL. 2x12 w/ 1/2" plywood beam that circles the perimeter of the structure under the floor joists. It seems unconventional, or at least I'm very confused. Do they sit on top of the top plate? does this add an extra foot to the floor? what happens on the north wall? also your drawing has them going right through the corner windows. I must be doing something wrong.

Corner stairway
I built the staircase acording to your spec. Again, I must have done something wrong because the stairs overlap the corner window by a bit. Here's another good look at the north wall and the weird perimeter beam. Another question, how should I frame the tower? (in the foreground?) Maybe a baloon frame is better here?
